About SSS Comics

SSS Comics is an independent digital magazine covering Animation, Culture, Reviews, Releases and Comics. Print and screen stopped being separate audiences a long time ago. It is part of VUGA Network, a group of independent digital publications published in the United States.

How We Review

Reviews come from reading and watching in full, and they carry practical detail: episode counts, dub versus sub quality, print reproduction, paper stock, whether a collection reprints the letters pages. Scores get revisited when a season lands or a remaster changes the color.

What We Cover

Animation covers series, features and shorts from studios worldwide, weighing direction, key animation quality, storyboarding, pacing across a season, voice work in both tracks, and how faithfully a source is adapted — with production conditions reported when known. Reviews holds the scored verdicts across comics, manga, animated series and films, each judgment covering story, art, pacing, localization and price against page or episode count. Releases tracks arrival dates across print and screen — single issues, collected volumes, manga schedules, season premieres, box sets and streaming windows — with regional differences and announced delays noted as they change. Culture reports on the communities around drawn and animated work: conventions, cosplay, fan translation, zine scenes, archival projects, with participants quoted directly. Comics News carries announcements across publishing and animation — greenlights, creative team changes, license acquisitions, cancellations, premiere windows — attributed to whichever publisher or studio made them, while Business News examines studio budgets, streaming licensing, merchandising and labor conditions for artists and animators, linking each number to production quality and schedules.

Standards

Review copies are disclosed, publisher solicitations are never passed off as reporting, and nothing gets graded on a franchise's reputation.
